Get ready to see a lot more of Phineas, Ferb, and their Platypus friend Perry. Disney thinks it has found a franchise it can hang the next few years of revenue on. And as we know, Bob Iger is focused on franchises right now.
This NY Times article compares Phineas and Ferb with the success of Spongebob Squarepants. You may not put the two together right now, but there was a time when the Square One was just getting off the ground and not as ubiquitous as he is today. Of course, Disney can only hope for success like that.
