October is National Bullying Prevention Month, and Demi Lovato is one star who has been committed to the cause for some time. Having been bullied herself, Demi knows how it feels to be bullied, and she is using her fame to get the message out that no one deserves to be bullied. In honer of National Bullying Prevention Month, Demi has teamed up with Pacer and Facebook in a campaign to stop Cyberbullying. You can check out her PSA on the Teens Against Bullying website.
Demi's involvement in the campaign against bullying is good for kids on so many levels. Just to know that Demi, a beautiful girl and massively popular star, was once bullied herself really helps kids to know that they are not alone. Her example also helps kids see that it is cool to stand up for what's right, and that bullying is not cool at all. Hopefully, schools around the country are also concentrating on this message this month, and for parents, it's a good reminder to take some time to talk to our kids about bullying.
