So we get in the car to go to Nana's house, and our 5-year-old immediately begins begging my husband to watch Phineas and Ferb. Not on the DVD player (we only turn the car DVD player on during long road trips), but on my husband's new Windows Phone 7. Now, we've had other phones that can play TV shows, but not like this one. The screen is big enough to actually be decent, the resolution is great, and the video is seamless. In the past, we only used the phone TV in dire emergency situations -- like when we had to wait in the car or in a line for a long time for some reason. However, I can see that this new watching TV on the phone could get out of hand.
You know that commercial for the Windows Phone 7 that implies that it solves the problem of always being glued to your phone? No, no. It only makes it worse. With the ability to surf the internet, game, watch TV and countless other things any time any place, this phone is going to come with a set of rules for kids and their daddy. However, if we do find ourselves in a dire situation with an inconsolable kid, it's nice to know old Phineas and Ferb will be there to rescue us.

For situations like this you might want to consider DISH Network, which offers the ability to watch your live TV or DVR recordings on the go via your phone, tablet or laptop. As a DISH customer and employee I must say I love this ability, especially considering my "on-the-go" lifestyle. You can find out more at dish.com/TVEverywhere.
