We have some big titles and a couple of fun preschoolers' titles out on Blu-ray and/or DVD this week. Several super hero cartoon collections also hit store shelves, like X-Men: Volume 5 and Iron Man: The Complete Animated Series (timely considering the big movie that opens on Friday). The big family release is The Tooth Fairy, starring Dwayne Johnson. This kid-friendly comedy follows hockey player Derek Thompson, a hockey player whose nickname, The Tooth Fairy, was earned due to all of the other players' teeth he's knocked out. This hard-hitting guy can be cold when he's off the rink as well, though, and when his habit of crushing others' dreams gets out of hand, he is sentenced to do time as the real tooth fairy. Tights, wings and all, there's no way out of this penalty.

Go, Diego, Go!: The Great Panda Adventure finds preschooler favorite Diego in an amazing adventure in China, where he helps a panda family relocate to a mountain that has more bamboo for them to eat. Kids will learn fun facts about pandas, as well as a few Spanish words and phrases. The DVD also contains three additional episodes of Go, Diego, Go! which feature lemurs, koalas, and beavers.

Our geometrical friend Wubbzy is also a big hit among preschoolers. The show Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! tickles kids' funny bones while teaching them little social lessons about things like sharing, listening, compromising, helping and appreciating others. The title Escape from Dino Island, now available in stores, contains 7 Wubbzy stories about exciting things like a dino cupcake party and a hunt for a lost sparkle stone ring. Parents can also print out coloring and activity sheets available on DVD-ROM.

Care Bears fans will be excited about the new title Share-a-Lot in Care-a-Lot. The Care Bears franchise often releases new DVDs containing show episodes, and this latest title features 8 episodes of the show. The episodes are, of course, adorable and entertaining for little ones who love Care Bears, but they also convey positive messages about sharing, giving, listening, comforting and more.
