Get ready to get down! DJ Lance Rock and the cast of the popular and very musical show for preschoolers Yo Gabba Gabba! may be coming to your city soon with YO GABBA GABBA! LIVE!: THERE'S A PARTY IN MY CITY!, a 60-city tour across North America. The tour starts August 27 in Bethel, NY and will end in Dallas, TX on December 12. The production for preschoolers and families features music, singing, dancing and animation. Kids can see their favorite elements from the TV show come to life as they learn beat box with "Biz's Beat of the Day," see special guests perform, and get jiggy with Dancey Dance segments.

In a partnership with Habitat for Humanity, the Gabba Gang will participate in various service projects aimed at building homes and hope in the cities they visit during their four month tour. Also, $1 from every ticket sold during the 2010 YO GABBA GABBA! LIVE!: THERE'S A PARTY IN MY CITY! North American tour will be donated to the Habitat for Humanity local affiliate in each tour city! To find out more or purchase tickets, see the Yo Gabba Gabba! Live! website.

I love that the cast members are doing good as they go on this tour. What a great example for kids to see that their favorite characters are as into helping others as they are into groovy music. Personally, if my kids were into Yo Gabba Gabba! I would not miss taking them to this show, as I'm sure it will be a hyper, crazy show filled with vivid color, lots of repetitive and loud beats, and super simple lyrics that will get stuck in your head forever. In other words, kids will have a heck of a good time, and parents may want to pop some aspirin before the show. Honestly, in many ways the TV show drives me nuts, and I know many parents feel the same, but there is no doubt that the characters reach the target age group. Kids think the show is enormous fun, it teaches positive social messages, and it is kind of hilarious to watch a three-year-old practice his beat box skills.
